Twin who punched croc relives horror moment her sister turned blue after death roll

A woman has revealed that her twin sister was 'coughing up blood and bile' after being attacked by a crocodile.

British backpacker Georgia Laurie appeared on Monday's This Morning live from Mexico to speak to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield about the terrifying ordeal which saw her save her sibling's life.

Georgia, 28, fought off the reptile not once, but three times, in order to rescue her sister Melissa.

The 7ft crocodile dragged Melissa underwater in a "death roll" and she had to be placed in a medically-induced coma.

Explaining the terrifying incident to Holly and Phil, Georgia said: "I could just hear my sister screaming and I turned round and saw her being taken under water.

"There was no sound, no nothing, so I was really worried as the last thing I saw was her being taken under water."

Georgia then saw Melissa's body floating in the water face down, so she swam over to her and laid her body on her chest as she tried to escort her to safety.

"My sister at the time, she was not responding at all, she was blue and I tried to revive her," Georgia continued.

However, the crocodile wasn't finished and returned to try and take Melissa.

"It comes back a second time so I'm bashing it on the nose but trying to keep her head above water," Georgia told a stunned Holly and Phil.

"Then a boat came by just at the right time, but the crocodile came back a third time and that was when she sustained a lot of the injuries," Georgia added.

"We managed to haul her into the boat. Without my friends there I don’t think I would be in the fortunate position I’m in now."

Speaking about her own injuries, Georgia revealed that she has lacerations on the palm of her hand as well as a bite on her wrist.

Melissa has many puncture marks on her body as well as a fractured wrist and water on her lungs.

Unfortunately she went into septic shock from her injuries and was placed in an induced coma for four days, which she is out of now.

"They’ve bought her out of the coma now, she’s doing really well," Georgia confirmed.
