To mark Taronga Zoo’s centennial year, the zoo’s amphitheatre will host music lovers all summer long with its most diverse program yet. Singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett, nominated for eight Aria awards in 2015, will open the 2016 program.
Other musicians and bands on the line up include Josh Pyke, John Butler Trio, The Waifs, Birds of Tokyo, Colin Hay and Missy Higgins. Tickets include half-price same day entry to the zoo. Those fancying a picnic can bring their own to enjoy on the fully-licensed lawn, or can buy one of the Giovanni Pilu-created hampers of cheese and desserts online.
