Twickenham history will be a dream come true admits Leinster's Hannah O'Connor

Hannah O'Connor admits it's a dream come true for the Leinster women to make history at Twickenham tonight.

The province's friendly with Harlequins follows the Premiership clash between Quins' men's team and Leicester Tigers, the consequence of a marketing meeting between both clubs - it is the first women's club game to be played at the iconic stadium.

The Ireland women's team has played England at Twickenham but, for the Leinster players, who are the current Interprovincial Championship winners, there is huge anticipation about what's to come.

"Everyone knows it's the home of English rugby and as a young sports fan your dream is to play at the top stadiums so to get this opportunity is fantastic, I'm really excited for it," said Ireland back row O'Connor.

"It's huge. As a squad we're aware of how big this is, how momentous an occasion it is, and we're definitely keen on making our mark - and making it something that is a first of many.

"I've never been, so it's going to be extra special."

Leinster will be skippered by out-half Sene Naoupu, with Ailsa Hughes completing the half-back pairing.

Ireland internationals Jenny Murphy and Michelle Claffey are the starting centre pairing while Elise O'Byrne-White and Grace Miller, try scorers in the Interpro Final, start in the back three with Meabh O'Brien on the left wing completing the backline.

In the pack, Lindsay Peat has been named to start at blindside flanker in a back row with Niamh Ní Dhroma and Hannah O'Connor who were both named in the Ireland squad for the Six Nations.

Aoife McDermott and Daisy Earle are the second-row combination for the game at Twickenham.

Katie O'Dwyer, Victoria Dabanovich-O'Mahony and Linda Djougang form the front row and complete the starting XV.
