Twelve more coronavirus deaths recorded at North East hospitals

There have been a further 12 coronavirus deaths recorded in North East hospitals in the last 24 hours.

The new figures come as it was announced that there had been a further 350 deaths in England and 627 overall in the UK as of 5pm on Monday.

The final figure includes those who have died in settings other than hospitals.

In our region, the South Tees NHS Trust had the highest number of new deaths with six recorded.

The Northumbria Healthcare Trust had three.
