Tweaks made to Nottingham Beach VIP Playa Club include new £25 set menu and child-friendly times

It's been little over two weeks since the newest addition to Old Market Square's annual urban beach opened and organisers have stepped in to iron out the creases and up its offering with a new £25 set menu and children-friendly times.

Up until now the Playa Day Club and Restaurant at Nottingham Beach served a tapas-style sharing menu - devised by MasterChef: The Professionals winner Laurence Henry, with small plates ranging from £3.50 olives to £15 miso marinated black cod.

To complement this a fixed price menu has also been launched.

It will be available Sunday to Friday, from noon to close, and includes a selection of Laurence's dishes which will be revealed on arrival.

Originally open to over 18s only, the restaurant will now welcome families between noon and 5pm daily.

Entry to both the day club and restaurant is free and requires no advance booking.

Bookings through the website or in person only need to be made if visitors would like to reserve a day bed or pool pod in advance. The cost is £100 and is redeemable against food and drink.
