TVs Chris Packham and Lucy Worsley are coming to Nottingham and Packham's 'ay up me duck' t-shirt is amazing!

Is it a nod to Nottingham or just a cool t-shirt?

Whatever the reason behind Chris Packham's 'ay up me duck' t-shirt' let's hope he will be wearing his when he visits Nottingham in September.

The events may have been rescheduled several times but now Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust has confirmed that the celebrity lectures are set to go ahead in the autumn and tickets are still available as well as being valid from earlier dates if you already have them.

All profits will go to supporting wildlife habitats and creating nature recovery networks across the county, so the Trust is saying that those who embarked on its 30 Days Wild challenge could count this as one of their random acts of wildness!

First up is TV presenter, naturalist, conservationist, award-winning photographer and author Chris Packham.

Described as funny, inspiring, irreverent and packed with information it’s less of a lecture and more a romp through the wild mind of Chris Packham.

Chris, who is recognised for his outstanding work in television broadcasting as well as his Springwatch contributions, will be talking live at the Albert Hall in Nottingham on Friday, September 10, 2021.

Next on the agenda is an evening with Lucy Worsley. On Friday, October 15, 2021, she brings Jane Austen to life, exploring the intelligent, powerful, contradictory, loving and loved woman.

Lucy Worsley OBE is chief curator at Historic Royal Palaces, the charity which looks after the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, and other historic places. She said of her role: "Yes, this is a fabulous job, but no, you can’t have it. Bribes have been offered, and refused."

Lucy paints a vivid picture of Jane Austen, her favourite author. through the houses, places and possessions that mattered to her.

Both events take place at Nottingham's Albert Hall and offer the opportunity to meet the speakers and get involved in a Q&A.

So while 30 Days Wild may be coming to an end soon, that does not mean you need to stop appreciating nature and the natural world around you the rest of the year.
