Aug. 27--Famed TV writer and producer Steven Bochco has sold his Richard Neutra-designed home in Encino for $4.725 million.
Named the Milton Goldman Residence for its first owner, the Midcentury Modern-style house dates to 1951. Neutra used long walls of glass to bring in views of the home's natural setting. A reflecting pool, stepping stones and a dining patio outside the house entice occupants outdoors.
The updated single-story house, expanded to 4,234 square feet of living space over the years, features wood ceilings, living, dining and family rooms, a den, five bedrooms and five bathrooms.
A swimming pool with a spa, lawn and a sports court complete the wooded third-acre grounds.
Bochco, 71, worked on the series "Hill Street Blues" (1981-87), "L.A. Law" (1986-94), and "NYPD Blue" (1993-2005), all of which won Emmys. He is creator-writer-executive producer of the current crime drama "Murder in the First."

The property came on the market in May at $4.995 million. Bochco had spent $2.85 million for it in 2006.
Aaron Kirman of John Aaroe Group was the listing agent. Stephen Sigoloff of the Agency represented the buyer.
