The Salt Path Scandal
9pm, Sky Documentaries
It was the literary scandal of the year: the Observer alleged that the author of the bestselling memoir The Salt Path, Raynor Winn, hadn’t been entirely truthful in telling the tale – which was made into a film – of financial ruin, her husband, Moth’s, terminal illness and natural healing. Since then, more people have come forward with their version of events. Reporter Chloe Hadjimatheou continues to piece together the exposé that shocked and saddened a nation. Hollie Richardson

The Big Quiz: Coronation Street v Emmerdale

Nicole Vassell

Bump: A Christmas Film
11.15pm, BBC One
The Aussie family dramedy decamps to Rosa’s home country of Colombia, which is either the best idea ever or the worst. No longer teen parents, Oly and Santi are unfazed, despite now having a two-month-old baby in tow. But Rosa herself is having misgivings – and that broken mirror doesn’t bode well. Ellen E Jones
Film choice
Everything Everywhere All at Once (Daniel Scheinert, Daniel Kwan, 2022), 11.10pm, Film4
Frenetic fun for (nearly) all the family, Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert’s Oscar-laden comic sci-fi adventure never lets up during its two-hour-plus runtime. Michelle Yeoh harks back to her Hong Kong action film past as a struggling laundromat owner thrown into an increasingly surreal series of alternative universes in an attempt to defeat a powerful version of her unhappy daughter Joy (Stephanie Hsu). More exposition would be pointless – just go with the hotdog finger-verse, the anime-verse and, most hilariously, the universe where all the characters are rocks – and enjoy the rollercoaster.
