And Just Like That

9pm, Sky Comedy
For all its flaws (desperate attempts to be “woke”, the annihilation of Miranda’s character), Sex and the City fans can’t help tuning in to this spin-off – and its third season may finally be getting into its Manolo-heeled stride. This might be hard to believe, what with Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Aidan (John Corbett) resolute on their nonsensical “let’s wait five years to be together” pact. But don’t worry, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) are rolling their eyes with us. Will they make her see sense? Anyway, there’s still plenty of sex, outfits that turn the streets of NYC into a catwalk, the husky tones of Seema (Sarita Choudhury) and even a naughty night with a nun. Hollie Richardson

The Power of Parker

9.30pm, BBC One
The start of a second season for this watchable if slightly pedestrian 90s-set sitcom about the complicated life and business affairs of Conleth Hill’s businessman Martin Parker. His lover, Kath, and his wife, Diane, have teamed up to run the electronics business, leaving him languishing in poverty. He wangles a job as a care worker – but it’s not as easy as he thought it looked. Phil Harrison

Alison Hammond’s Big Weekend

8.30pm, BBC One

Hammond rides off into the sunset with Luke Evans, literally, as they start their weekend together horse-riding. The Welsh actor and singer then takes her to his parents’ home, where he grew up as a Jehovah’s Witness but secretly gay. Hammond is masterly at getting into deep and meaningfuls – even as she desperately tries to concentrate on driving. HR

Joanna Lumley’s Danube

9pm, ITV1
The second leg of Lumley’s “fabulous journey” down the Danube takes her to Slovakia, where in the capital, Bratislava, she explores curious architecture such as the Slovak Radio Building, the “UFO bridge” and Petržalka – the biggest prefab housing estate in Europe. She later heads to Hungary to hang out with cowboys. HR

Hacks

10pm, Sky Max
In a shocking twist, the finale of the millennial-v-boomer comedy finds Deborah (Jean Smart) and Ava (Hannah Einbinder) working on live shows in Asia. Things, obviously, aren’t going so well – and with Deborah now contractually not allowed to do comedy in the US, what unexpected news article could possibly compel her to drag Ava back there? It promises a fifth and potentially final series. HR

Open House: The Great Sex Experiment

10pm, Channel 4
“There’s definitely too many people in that room for me,” declares Jonny, thoroughly spooked by the prospect of an orgy alongside partner Sarah. As the non-monogamous (and surprisingly unerotic) reality show continues, will whittling down the group to a more manageable fivesome ease his fears? Hannah J Davies

Film choice

Bono: Stories of Surrender (Andrew Dominik, 2025), Apple TV+
The U2 frontman’s one-man show, based on his memoir, is now a film courtesy of Andrew Dominik – who has form in the field of rock star confessionals, notably about Nick Cave. It is an intimate, engrossing piece, shot in crisp black-and-white with sparse lighting. Bono is a confident raconteur, as he relays anecdotes from his life – meeting his future wife and starting the band in the same week; Live Aid and his political campaigning; chatting in the pub with his dad – candidly and self-deprecatingly, while excerpts from U2’s songs act as commentary on his experiences. Live sport

Women’s One-Day Cricket, England v West Indies, 12.30pm, Sky Sports Main Event The first of three ODIs, from Derby.
