Nick Cave’s Veiled World
9pm, Sky Arts
With TV viewers getting to know his Bunny Munro character, this is a timely journey through the life and times of Nick Cave. Along the way, Irvine Welsh, Bella Freud, regular collaborator Mick Harvey and many more explore Cave’s transgressive, redemptive artistry. Particularly fascinating and moving is the section addressing the aftermath of the death of Cave’s son Arthur and the making of his Ghosteen album. As writer Sean O’Hagan suggests: “He found a place where Arthur exists.” Phil Harrison
Alan Carr’s Picture Slam
5.35pm, BBC One
Another edition of the family-friendly gameshow where three competing duos must blurt out whatever they see on screen for a chance to win up to £10,000. It may not be the most prestigious vehicle for reigning Celebrity Traitors champion Carr but he seems to love bantering with the excitable contestants. Graeme Virtue
Robin Robin
6.20pm, BBC One
This Aardman animation (first screened on Netflix) is typically charming and inventive. Robin is a bird who was raised by a family of mice but habitually thwarts their thieving trips with her clumsiness. Can the family teach her some delicacy before she gets them killed? Gillian Anderson and Adeel Akhtar provide voices. PH
Strictly Come Dancing
6.50pm, BBC One
Jazz hands out for musicals week! And following the success of last week’s instant dance challenge, Strictly has announced another inaugural “high-stakes” task will take place. First, though, our five couples need to dazzle with a West End number to get a place in the semi-final. Hollie Richardson
Sandi’s Great Riviera Rail Trip
8.05pm, Channel 4
Sandi reaches Cannes, where she learns about the Palm Dog, a film award for pooches. In Grasse, she finds out how perfume is made, and in the Antibes peninsula discovers how F Scott Fitzgerald helped mythologise the French Riviera during the jazz age. Ali Catterall
Wild Cherry
9.05pm, BBC One
Tragedy has now struck the rich teens after all their betrayal, blackmail and highly inappropriate sexting, so now it’s time for the recriminations. As the police circle and a wake ends in rancour, the bigger crisis for Juliet (Eve Best) is whether her entire existence as a wife and mother is about to be revealed as a lie. Jack Seale
