Juice

9pm, BBC Three
A second series of Mawaan Rizwan’s zany comedy based on his Edinburgh fringe show from 2018 opens with the first two episodes back to back (the second is at 9.25pm). Jamma (Rizwan) is still jobless and sleeping on his mate Winnie’s sofa. He is also not over his therapist ex-boyfriend Guy (Russell Tovey) – so decides to ask him to a party. Can a stranger bring them back together? Cue some surreal storytelling involving said (stained) sofa. Hollie Richardson

The Dog House

8pm, Channel 4
Canine camaraderie is an admirable species trait, whether it’s inseparable chihuahuas Rio, Prince and Blue Boy, or the rambunctious tag team of George and Daisy. Still, rehoming a number of dogs at once presents a challenge, even for the experienced team at Woodgreen Pets Charity. Is there a garden in all of England that’s big enough? Ellen E Jones

The Newsreader

9pm, BBC Two
The drama that tells the stories of world events from the perspective of an Australian newsroom in the late 1980s continues – this time covering (or not) the escalating conflict in Tiananmen Square in Beijing. Meanwhile, Helen (Anna Torv) is facing the axe thanks to dwindling viewing figures for her current affairs show. HR

Long Lost Family

9pm, ITV1
Lee is a retro shop owner and mod in Eastbourne who thought he was a foundling – but at 56 learns he was adopted and sees his birth certificate for the first time. In the first episode of the new series of this wonderful show, he meets his estranged Scottish brother Stephen – who says he is a rocker (“Please tell me we’re not meeting in Brighton!”). HR

Taskmaster

9pm, Channel 4
It’s amazing how this comedy series manages to assemble lineups that continue to be exciting after all these years. But with Reece Shearsmith, Sanjeev Bhaskar and Maisie Adam appearing this time, they’ve done it again. We’re promised an episode of “arresting images” this week, including Shearsmith’s hand emerging from a bag. Intriguing. Alexi Duggins

Atomic

9pm, Sky Atlantic

The headlong thriller about weapons-grade uranium out in the wild reaches its finale, with bickering buddies JJ (Shazad Latif) and Max (Alfie Allen) tracking the radioactive prize to Casablanca. But even if they can reclaim the shipment, how will they deal with an inexhaustible supply of black SUVs crammed with heavies? Graeme Virtue
