A Mary Berry Christmas
9pm, BBC One
Mary Berry celebrated her 90th birthday this year but she shows no sign of slowing down in the kitchen this Christmas. Pigs in blankets cassoulet, cherry and lemon millefeuille, and a pear and ginger steamed pudding are all on her menu, as she is joined by Alison Steadman, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and Zoe Ball. Berry also needs to pick a Christmas tree – and so she sets off for Windsor Great Park. Hollie Richardson
The Hunting Party
9pm, U&Alibi
Another day, another escaped serial killer for Bex and co to find: Tom Beecher, who makes one woman watch as he kills another woman in front of her. Horrible stuff – but also undermined by Beecher’s extraordinary resemblance to Geoffrey from Rainbow. You half expect Zippy and George to join in the drama. Ali Catterall
Mozart’s Sister
9pm, Sky Arts
More celebratory programming to mark the new Amadeus drama. She was five years older and a musical prodigy in her own right, but when Maria Anna “Nannerl” Mozart turned 18, it was no longer considered proper for her, as a young lady, to perform music. What happened to all that talent? This “dramatic musical investigation” explores the mystery. Ellen E Jones

Film choice
Dune: Part Two (Denis Villeneuve, 2024), 10.35pm, Sky Cinema Greats
Next Christmas should see the cinema release of the third in Denis Villeneuve’s space opera trilogy, derived from Frank Herbert’s classic novels. If No 2 is anything to go by, it should be worth the wait. Timothée Chalamet returns as Paul Atreides, heir to a colonising dynasty but also the prophesised liberator of the people of desert planet Arrakis, AKA Dune. Amid gobsmacking effects and intricate plotting, it’s a chilling tale of power and faith corrupting the best of intentions. Paul is the messiah, but he’s also a very naughty boy. Simon Wardell
