The Floor

8pm, ITV1

Rob Brydon hosts a new gameshow that follows the Squid Game trend of mass contestants (see 99 to Beat, Beast Games, The 1% Club). Across the series, 81 contestants stand on a tile that represents a subject in a square floor. Two players go head to head in a quick-fire duel: the loser exits the game and the winner takes their square. Whoever ends up winning the whole floor gets a £50,000 prize. Hollie Richardson

The Night Manager

9pm, BBC One

After its explosive opener, series two of the sleek spy thriller continues. Tom Hiddleston ditches the specs, upgrades his wardrobe and heads to Medellín to do what his chameleonic charmer does best: ingratiate himself with a monied psychopath. But has he met his match in seductive arms dealer Teddy (Diego Calva)? Graeme Virtue

The Million Pound Shaman Scam

9pm, BBC Two

The bizarre subject of hit 2023 true-crime podcast Filthy Ritual is now explored in a two-part documentary. In upmarket Hampstead in London, Juliette D’Souza posed as a faith healer to con the community out of £1m. Tim Rayment was the journalist who in 2008 was tipped off about the dark web of spiritual manipulation and South American shamanism. HR

Red Eye

9pm, ITV1

Saboteur? Thief? Assassin? DS Hana Li (Jing Lusi) still has no clue who is targeting the locked-down US consulate, while the flaky ambassador seems more concerned with his swanky party than being interrogated. Elsewhere, airborne spy chief Delaney (Lesley Sharp) gets a Zoom course in ad hoc bomb disposal. Graeme Virtue

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins

9pm, Channel 4

The team leaders have one message for the celebrities who’ve foolishly signed up to train with the SAS: “Instagram can’t save you now.” In this grim new series opener, the social media personalities and actors, including Dani Dyer, are shipped in hoods to north Africa, verbally abused, half-drowned, and forced to hit one another. Ali Catterall

First Dates Beach Club

10pm, Channel 4

To Spain, where Fred Sirieix is matchmaking for a sun-soaked edition of the hugely popular dating series. A new week kicks off with Joe and Emily reaching a crossroads in their romance, while Megan shares a drink with a plumber and Jacques widens his net. HR

Film choice

Back to Black, 10pm, BBC Two

Marisa Abela was always on a hiding to nothing trying to sing just like the late Amy Winehouse in Sam Taylor-Johnson’s biopic. But she delivers a vocal impersonation of impressive style and gusto, alongside a sensitive performance as the young London singer who had a meteoric rise but fell victim to alcoholism and bulimia. Her amour fou – AKA “toxic co-dependency” – with Blake Fielder-Civil (Jack O’Connell) and interactions with her nan (Lesley Manville) and dad Mitch (Eddie Marsan), rather than her music, provide the tragic drama’s central thrust. Simon Wardell
