This crime drama stars Wunmi Mosaku as Riya, a London detective relocated to a small Yorkshire village for family reasons and frustrated at the unchallenging levels of police work. But things are about to get interesting thanks to a missing girl, a disembowelled stag, an anti-fracking protest and the return of a figure from the village’s past. How these problems connect isn’t yet clear but it should be fun finding out – this feels quirkier and less formulaic than your standard maverick cop series. Phil Harrison

This fascinating series about the minutiae of police work continues as the West Midlands force becomes aware of a man with a large firearms arsenal. What are his plans for them? He claims to be simply a gun collector, but links to political extremism have to be explored, as does the possibility that the man is selling the weapons. PH

More nerve-jangling evasion and capture as various fugitives give the strong impression of having never seen previous seasons of this show. For example, one couple decide to contact a friend – a course of action that has hardly ever ended well on Hunted. For another pair, things are more wholesome as lessons are learned about self-sufficiency. PH

“A co-parenting idyll” is how Dooley describes this week’s set-up, where Linda lives with her ex-husband Chris, new partner Maddy, plus their three children. “I’ll have what she’s having.” Writer Nora Ephron’s one-liner (delivered by director Rob Reiner’s mother) is one of many killers in a romcom of enduring wit. Billy Crystal’s Harry and Meg Ryan’s Sally meet as students on a ride-share from Chicago to New York, then spend the next decade dancing round the question: can men and women be friends or does the sex part get in the way? Whichever side you come down on, it’s huge fun to watch the couple get close then draw away, forever afraid of losing a valued friendship on the off-chance of love. Simon Wardell
