This new spin-off series presents a more inclusive vision of self-builds, documenting a recent experiment in Oxfordshire that saw the council sell “ready-to-go” plots to the general public. While we await the TV adaptation of Hallie Rubenhold’s feminist, victim-focused take on the nation’s most famous cold case, here’s a more traditional refresher. The first in this two-part doc follows, with actual footage, the case of Katherine Smith, found brutally murdered. Anthony Lowe, whom she met on a dating site and is now on the run, is prime suspect.
