TV presenter Elaine Crowley told how her nine siblings are “mean” to her admitting she is spoilt.
The Virgin Media One star has been gracing our screens for more than a decade and admitted her large family never let her lose the run of herself.
Speaking in this month’s RSVP Magazine the 41-year-old said: “They are very mean to me.
“They are frightened I will get a big head, so they are always at me.
“They scare me. In fairness I know I am privileged and spoilt but they can knock me into place fairly fast.”
Elaine said there was always an abundance of love and madness in her house growing up but it was also “exhausting”.
She added: “We usually only all get together for weddings or funerals so it was lovely.
“It can be exhausting coming from such a big family, you forget how mad it is until we are all in one room because you usually only get a few siblings together at a time.”
The TV favourite told how her grandmother even lived in her packed home at one point.
She said: “But the thing is, we all lived together, it wasn’t like the eldest left before the youngest came along.
“So there was my father, mother, my nana and the 10 of us.”
Elaine insists she is not the diva in the family, adding: “I am the cross one, I give out a lot – but I am not the biggest diva by a long shot, there is a quite a few ahead of me.”
The Co Cork woman told the magazine she came 7th in her family revealing her sister Mag was actually a twin, but they sadly died as a baby.
Coming from such a large family none of her sibilings have gone on to have big families themselves.
Elaine said: “No, the most is four. None of them have 10 – in this day and age it is not feasible.
