Holmes underwent back surgery at the end of September 2022 after he began experiencing severe back pain throughout recent years.

However, Holmes later tumbled down a spiral staircase when recovering from his operation, which resulted in him requiring surgery on his shoulder.

Ruth Langsford, his wife, commented on his post on Instagram, saying: "We can rebuild him! Hard work will pay off x."

Carol Vorderman also commented: "Oh gosh Eamonn. Sending hugest love and strength."

With reality star, Vicky Pattison adding: "Sending you so much love you wonderful man."
