TV reporter pursued relentlessly by pig during live broadcast

A reporter had to cut short a live broadcast because a pig would not leave him alone.

Lazos Mantikos was in a Greek town to report on flood damage, but his broadcast took a different turn when a large sow chased him live on air.

The journalist jumped around as he tried to avoid the pig, who can be seen nudging into the reporter’s legs, and continue his report for a show on the Greek TV channel ANT1.

Mr Mantikos said the pig had been following them around all morning and was biting him, according to local media.

He was even chased off camera at one point by the large speckled animal.

The presenters in the studio could not help laughing as Mr Manitkos, who did not seem to be laughing himself, ran around.

The journalist was supposed to be reporting on the bad flooding in the seaside resort of Kineta, according to The Guardian

The Greek town also saw mudslides from a nearby hillside following the torrential rain that has swept southern Europe

At least nine people have died in the flash floods and landslides in France, Italy and Greece
