TV ratings: 'The Voice' boosts NBC to No. 1; 'Mike Molly' declines 31%

Dec. 09--"The Voice" helped NBC sing its way to the top of TV ratings Monday night.

The semifinals episode of the singing competition averaged a rating of 2.5 in the key 18-to-49-year-old demographic, according to Nielsen. Though it dropped 11% in the key demo from last week, the broadcast still won the night overall, averaging 10.6 million viewers.

Also on the network, "State of Affairs" stayed even with last week, posting a rating of 1.6 in the key demo. About 6.3 million people tuned in.

The network was No. 1 with 9.2 million viewers and a rating of 2.2 in the key demo.

CBS' "Scorpion" was the second most watched program both in the key demo and overall. It was up 11% from its most recent original episode on Nov. 24 with a rating of 2.1 in the desired demographic. It pulled in 9.9 million viewers.

"NCIS: Los Angeles," which followed, was the third most watched overall with 8.5 million viewers. It was up about 7% in the key demo with a rating of 1.6.

"2 Broke Girls" surged 25% in the key demo from its most recent original on Nov. 24. It was third in the desired category with a rating of 2.0. It averaged 7.7 million viewers.

In its Season Five premiere, "Mike Molly" posted a rating of 1.8 in the key demo, a 31% decline from last fall's premiere. The show rounded out the top five most watched programs overall with about 8 million viewers.

The network came in second with about 8.8 million viewers and a rating of 1.9 in the key demo.

On ABC, the premiere of "The Great Christmas Light Fight" posted a rating of 1.9 in the key demo, up 36% from last year's first telecast. The broadcast averaged 7.6 million viewers.

The fall finale of "Castle" was up 13% from last week with a rating of 1.7 in the key demo. It was the fourth most watched program of the night with about 8 million viewers.

ABC averaged 7.7 million viewers and posted a rating of 1.8 in the key demo.

Meanwhile, on The CW, "The Originals" fall finale stayed even with its most recent episode and posted a rating of 0.6 in the key demo. It averaged 1.4 million viewers.

"Jane the Virgin" was up 25% from its most recent original with a rating of 0.5 in the key demo. It averaged 1.2 million viewers.

The network tied with Fox for fifth in the key demo, both posting ratings of 0.5. Fox aired encores of "Gotham" and "Sleepy Hollow."
