TV ratings: 5m gripped by Ipswich serial killer drama

BBC1's drama about the Ipswich serial killer launched with just over 5 million viewers on Sunday, 25 April.

Five Daughters was watched by 5.038 million viewers – a 19.6% audience share – on BBC1 in the 9pm hour, with a further 126,000 (0.49%) for the BBC HD simulcast.

The final instalment of the current series of Foyle's War had 6.391 million (24.6%) on ITV1 over two hours from 8pm, with 213,000 for the ITV HD simulcast.

Channel 4's The Restoration Man continued in the 9pm hour with 1.815 million (7.1%) and another 293,000 (1.6%) an hour later on Channel 4 +1.

BBC2's Top Gear repeat had 2.346 million (9.1%) in the same slot, while Channel Five's film repeat Secret Window drew 790,000 (3.5%) between 9pm and 10.55pm.
