TV pundit singles out one Leeds United player after four consecutive clean sheets

Ben White has impressed everyone at Leeds United since he arrived at the club.

The towering centre-back has made a fantastic start to life on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion and was once again on top form as the Whites comprehensively beat Stoke City on Saturday.

Goals from Stuart Dallas, Ezgjan Alioski and Patrick Bamford ensured United stayed top of the Championship, following four wins from their opening five games.

The 3-0 scoreline didn't flatter the Whites one bit and they recorded a fourth-straight clean sheet, in all competitions.

Despite all United's fantastic attacking play, the defence are doing their part to stifle any potential counter-attacks.

White has been at the heart of the club's impressive defensive run, quickly wiping away any fears over Pontus Jansson's controversial summer departure.

With Liam Cooper absent, Gaetano Berardi stepped into the breach alongside White and the young defender stepped up to the challenge alongside a new defensive partner.

While impressing Marcelo Bielsa, his team-mates and the club's supporters, he's also making quite the impression on the press.

Former United midfielder and EFL on Quest pundit Michael Brown singled the 21-year-old out for praise after the Stoke win.

“We’ve just looked at a young player, 21-years-of-age, on loan from Brighton, he’s been on loan at Peterborough and Newport," said Brown, who enjoyed a three-year spell at Elland Road between 2011 and 2014.

"To keep all these clean sheets, yes they’ve got Berardi, no Cooper today who was injured, and [Kalvin] Phillips helping them along.

“It’s fantastic to see the clean sheets that they have got.”

Leeds are back in action on Tuesday night, taking on Saturday's opponents Stoke in the second round of the Carabao Cup.

The Elland Road clash will let Bielsa to shuffle his pack, if he so wishes, allowing supporters to get another glimpse of Helder Costa and Eddie Nketiah.

The pair already seem to have struck up quite a partnership with Costa assisting both of the Arsenal loanee's two goals so far this season, with identical cutbacks, followed by close-range finishes.
