TV presenter Lorraine Kelly says she could drink Niall Horan and Lewis Capaldi 'under the table'

TV host Lorraine Kelly has vowed to drink Niall Horan and Lewis Capaldi “under the table” on a night out post-coronavirus crisis.

The presenter laid down the gauntlet and challenged the Irish and Scottish stars to a night on the lash once the Covid-19 situation is over.

Niall appeared on Lorraine’s ITV breakfast show today via videolink to talk about his new album, Heartbreak Weather.

The two tried to look on the bright side amid all the coronavirus news stories and started to make plans about meeting up when the self-isolation period is over.

Just before saying goodbye, Lorraine declared she thought she could out-drink Niall and his close pal Lewis combined despite their reputation for wild nights out.

“When all of this is over, we’re going to have the mother of all parties,” she declared. You, me and Lewis Capaldi, we are there!”

Niall laughed and replied: “We’ll be having it large, come on Lorraine!”

“You bet, I’ll drink the two of you under the table!” Lorraine continued.

With a cheeky wink the Irish star told her: “Challenge accepted.”

Niall told viewers that all the pubs in Ireland were closed which was “a major shame because as Irish we do not need an excuse to go to the pub.”

Lorraine said: “People are keeping their spirits up and that is what we have to do.

“We are all in this together. We just all have to get through it and listening to people like you keeps our spirits up. It is so nice to talk to you this morning.”
