TV presenter laughs off Napoli supporters' 'get your t**s out' chants

The female television presenter who was subject to sexist chanting at a Serie A game last week has laughed off the incident.

Diletta Leotta was pitchside at the Serie A match between Napoli and Brescia last week when some home supporters were heard .

In a video released online, Leotta can be seen walking in front of the San Paolo Stadium stands with three other people when a section of Napoli supporters can be heard chanting "fuori le tette" - roughly translating into "get your t*** out".

She responds to the chant by wagging her finger at the fans and putting her thumb down as some of the supporters can be heard laughing.

But Leotta, who anchors Serie A coverage for the subscription sports streaming service DAZN, said the chant was "just a joke" and insisted she was just playing along.

"It was a misunderstanding," she told The Sun .

"Napoli fans supported me throughout the game, then they tried to go further after Napoli won, but it was just a joke.

"My reaction was part of the irony of the moment."

Former weather girl Leotta is a star in Italy, with more than five million followers on Instagram , and won the 'Miss Elegant' crown at the Miss Italy beauty pageant in 2009.

In 2016, icloud hackers leaked nude images of Leotta, prompting Italy striker Mario Balotelli to jump to her defence.

The former Liverpool and Manchester City forward tweeted: "Everyone is free to do what they want with their body, for better or worse. People who abused this situation are a**holes."

Leotta said: "I really appreciated Mario Balotelli's gesture and support.

"I felt I was not alone on that occasion and realised that the problem is much more common than I've ever expected."
