TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson sends out annual A-level humblebrag tweet boasting of his own failure

TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson has sent out his annual tweet 'encouraging' people who did badly in their A-levels to follow his example.

The 59-year-old Grand Tour presenter wrote: "A level results a bit rubbish? Don't worry. I got a C and two Us and I've rented this place for the summer."

So far, it has attracted more than thousands of retweets and 40,000 likes.

Joe Rich wrote: "Summer wouldn't be summer without Jeremy Clarkson's annual A-Levels tweet."

Clarkson's tweeting on A-level results day began in 2015, when he posted: "If your A-level results aren't great, be cheered by the fact that I got a C and two Us. And I'm currently sitting in a villa in St Tropez."

Continuing the theme, in 2016, he tweeted: "If your A level results are disappointing, don't worry. I got a C and two Us, and I'm currently on a superyacht in the Med."

He went for a more foodie theme in 2017m when he tweeted: "if you didn't get the right A level results, don't worry. I got a C and 2 Us, and my chef is preparing truffles for breakfast."

Last year, he tweeted: "Don't worry if your A level grades aren't any good. I got a C and 2 Us. And I'm sitting here deciding which of my Range Rovers to use today".

The presenter has an estimated fortune of £30m.

He made his millions by becoming a household name on Top Gear before landing a deal with Amazon Prime for the Grand Tour, along with presenters Richard Hammond and James May.
