TV on DVD: 'Victoria'

VICTORIA: "Masterpiece" runs this sumptuous drama of the young 19th century queen through March 5 _ but all eight episodes are here on disc. High-def nicely highlights the lush Yorkshire locations (exteriors plus interiors) and the elaborate royal gowns, uniforms and jewels. (Not to mention the 12,000 candles used in filming.)

EXTRAS: Discussing their characters: "Doctor Who" veteran Jenna Coleman (on Victoria's "vitality"), Tom Hughes (Albert), Rufus Sewell (Lord Melbourne). Plus, tour of palace set (led by young servants), peek inside CGI work visualizing huge crowds and more lush London of 1840.

LIST PRICE: $50 DVD/$60 Blu-ray, from PBS.

Also out:

ADVENTURE TIME: ISLANDS: This week's Cartoon miniseries explores what happened to the humans, with bonus song demos, animatics, more; $15 DVD, Warner.

POLAR BEAR TOWN: Smithsonian Channel series documents annual migration of 1,000 bears (and 10,000 tourists) through a Manitoba town; $30, PBS.
