TV on DVD: 'Trilogy of Terror'; 'The Night Stalker'

'TRILOGY OF TERROR.' New high-res restoration of the 1975 TV movie classic stars Karen Black playing four roles in three stories from acclaimed writer Richard Matheson ("I Am Legend") and director Dan Curtis ("Dark Shadows"). Archival commentary and 2006 chats with Black and Matheson are joined by new interview/commentary, essay/photo booklet, more. List price $20 DVD/$30 Blu-ray, out this week from Kino.

'THE NIGHT STALKER' and 'THE NIGHT STRANGLER.' Supernatural-noir TV movie pilots for Darren McGavin's enduring "Kolchak" series (also from Curtis) look sharp in new transfers ("Stalker" has great '70s Vegas neon), with new extras plus previous goodies; $20 DVD/$30 Blu-ray each film, Kino.

'BARRY.' Bill Hader won an Emmy as a hitman-turned-actor under the tutelage of Henry Winkler (also an Emmy), with brief bonus episode chats; $20 DVD+digital, HBO.
