TV on DVD: 'The Outer Limits'; 'Mister Rogers' Neighborhood'

THE OUTER LIMITS. The aliens are here! This hourlong, science-minded 1963 anthology counterpart to "The Twilight Zone" is perhaps even more disturbing, as shaped by creator Leslie Stevens and show runner Joseph Stefano ("Psycho" scripter). Its black-and-white artistry gets a superb high-def upgrade, uncut and crisply restored. Great guest stars, too: Cliff Robertson, Robert Culp, David McCallum, Martin Landau, Diana Sands. Nearly all of its 32 first-season episodes boast fact-packed commentaries, and a 40-page booklet adds smart analysis. It all comes in a foldout package with slipcase. List price: $100 for seven Blu-ray discs, out this week from Kino Lorber.

MISTER ROGERS' NEIGHBORHOOD: IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY COLLECTION. A childhood TV classic _ 30 top episodes (aired 1979-2001) have PBS' gentle friend of preschoolers explaining concepts like school, rules, feelings, pretending and more. A sole bonus is 1969's early color program (case wrongly says B&W), made for nascent public TV service NET; $20 for four DVDs, PBS.

ROBOT CHICKEN: WALKING DEAD. Recent Adult Swim special arrives with commentaries, interviews, backstage footage, more; $15 DVD/$20 Blu + digital, Warner.
