TV on DVD: 'Shark Week 30th Anniversary'; 'The Martian Chronicles'

'SHARK WEEK 30TH ANNIVERSARY.' Get psyched for Discovery's July 23-30 anniversary event with these five programs on both high-def Blu-ray and regular DVD: "How Jaws Changed the World," "Ultimate Air Jaws," "Great White Serial Killer Lives," "Monster Mako" and "Monster Hammerhead." Five more vintage shows on DVD include "Prehistoric Sharks" and "Diary of a Shark Man." List price: $25 Blu+DVD+digital, new this week from Lionsgate (at Walmart only).

'THE MARTIAN CHRONICLES.' Ray Bradbury's "first contact" tale became 1980's three-part miniseries (script by "Twilight Zone" legend Richard Matheson), starring Rock Hudson, Roddy McDowall, Darren McGavin, Bernie Casey and Bernadette Peters. New HD master looks great, with bonus five-minute interview (Martian-playing James Faulkner, "Game of Thrones"), plus reversible case cover insert (gold martian art/cast art seen on sleeve); $25 DVD/$35 Blu, Kino Lorber.

'AMERICA'S GREATEST MONUMENTS.' Hour program from 2007 covers the traditional biggies (Washington, Lincoln) and the newer lesser-knowns (World War II, FDR); $20 DVD, Smithsonian/PBS.
