TV on DVD: 'Gravity Falls'; National Parks Adventure'

'GRAVITY FALLS: COMPLETE SERIES/COLLECTOR'S EDITION.' Tween "mystery twins" Dipper and Mabel spend the summer with their odd Grunkle (great uncle) in the Oregon title town, only to discover they've landed in a sort of cartoon Twin Peaks (where voices include Jason Ritter, Kristen Schaal and Linda Cardellini). All 40 Disney episodes come in a supercool, supersturdy box holding 3 plastic "journal" cases (season 1, season 2, extras). Bonus features are big-time fan-pleasers _ commentary on every episode, feature-length documentary with creator Alex Hirsch sifting through his "lost archives" (intercut with crew/cast interviews), real-life Hirsch twins reminiscences, deleted scenes, lots more. There's also a tiny paper treat. List price $70 DVD/$100 Blu-ray for 7 discs, out this week from Shout.

'NATIONAL PARKS ADVENTURE.' Robert Redford narrates this 45-minute IMAX tour by climber Conrad Anker and friends to more than 25 treasured U.S. landscapes _ Yellowstone, Devil's Tower, Chaco Canyon, Michigan's frozen Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore _ watchable in 4K UHD HDR/SDR, regular Blu-ray, and 3D Blu-ray (with appropriate equipment/glasses); $30 for 2 discs including all formats+digital, Shout.
