TV duo Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan set to go head-to-head in football match

Piers Morgan reckons he will show England boss Gareth Southgate how it’s done – when he takes on Susanna Reid in a Soccer Aid footie match.

Piers, 53, will manage a World XI, starring sprinter Usain Bolt, 32, against Good Morning Britain co-host Susanna’s England side.

And true to form he is predicting a “magnificent victory” on June 16, giving him “bragging rights for a year”.

He said: “Given my football expertise, it is surprising [they] took so long to ask. I just hope Gareth is watching so he can pick up a few tips.”

Arsenal fan Piers will swallow his pride to co-manage with I’m a Celebrity winner Harry Redknapp, 72, ex-boss of rivals Spurs.

Susanna, 48, who dates Crystal Palace owner Steve Parish, 53, will be with former England chief Sam Allardyce, 64. Harry’s son, Jamie, 45, is in their side.

She said: “Head to head against Piers – what more motivation does our team need?”

Piers Morgan mercilessly mocks 'clown' Dan Walker for 'boasting about ratings'

Earlier this week the Mirror reported how Piers Morgan mercilessly mocked Dan Walker for 'boasting about ratings'.

The Good Morning Britain presenter called out his breakfast TV rival in a scathing rant at the start of Monday's show.

Dan and co-host Louise Minchin shared the secrets of BBC Breakfast in an exclusive interview with the Mirror.

The BBC Breakfast host had insisted that he was "privileged and thankful" to be in his position as he discussed the rivalry with GMB.

Furious Piers started reading quotes from the chat in a mocking tone before branding Dan a "clown" who is 'obsessed' with ratings.
