A TV doctor who has a host of celebrity clients is under investigation by the medical watchdog after allegations were made against him.
Dr Tijion Esho, who has previously featured on ITV’s This Morning, BBC’s Morning Live and E4’s Body Fixers and has a “state of the art clinic” in Liverpool’s flagship Flannels store, has had restrictions placed on his ability to practice while an inquiry is conducted by the medical watchdog, the General Medical Council (GMC).
As a result of the ongoing investigation, the doctor, whose real name is Oluwafemi Esho, must follow a number of "interim conditions", which include not carrying out consultations on female patients without a chaperone or having contact with patients outside of a clinical setting.

A GMC spokesperson told the ECHO : “Dr Oluwafemi Esho has restrictions on his practice while we investigate the allegations against him. We referred Dr Esho to an Interim Orders Tribunal at the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service in August 2022, who imposed a number of interim conditions on his practice. These include that, except in life-threatening emergencies, he must not carry out consultations with female patients without a chaperone present and except in life-threatening emergencies he must not make contact with patients outside of a clinical setting, either virtually or face-to-face.”
The 40-year-old is the founder of The Esho Clinic, which has locations in London, Liverpool and Dubai, and has a host of celebrity clients. According to The Esho Clinic’s website, the Liverpool clinic is “state of the art” and “set within the 5th floor of Flannels' new Liverpool flagship centre." It adds: "Within the wellness floor, this 5-room clinic boasts the latest in non-surgical treatments for the face and body”.
The ECHO previously reported how the “lip expert” and his brand were one of the many retailers which would be available to customers in the city centre clothing store, and before officially opening, it was believed the clinically inspired and doctor-led cosmeceutical brand already had a waiting list.
Since then, shoppers have been able to browse the Esho skincare range, including its lip products, and visit the “one of a kind” clinic, which is said to be “social media ready” with a 4K live streaming screen which transmits to the shop floor. The clinic is also said to have a bespoke HydraFacial suite and Alma laser suite with the “most advanced lasers” and energy-based machines.
Dr Esho was featured on ITV's This Morning to provide his medical opinion and comment on cosmetic surgery discussions. However, an ITV spokesperson confirmed that he is not the morning programme’s “resident doctor in any capacity” and he last appeared on the programme over three years ago in August 2019.
The Liverpool Echo has contacted Flannels and The Esho Clinic for comment.
According to national news reports, Dr Esho denies any wrongdoing.
