TV Choice remains UK’s biggest-selling magazine despite sales slip

TV Choice has held on to its title as the UK’s biggest-selling magazine, despite its average weekly sale falling by 7.9% year on year in the second half of 2014.

The H Bauer-owned title remains the biggest-selling title in the UK with a circulation of 1,266,242, according to the latest Audit Bureau of Circulation figures published on Thursday.

In contrast, Time Inc UK-owned What’s on TV, managed to increase its print sales by 0.7% year on year to 1,056,885.

Immediate Media’s Radio Times, the third biggest title in the sector, increased its print sales by 2.7% on the previous quarter but was down by 5.8% year on year to 783,042.

The biggest fallers in the sector were Time Inc UK’s Soaplife, whose print sales fell by 20.2% year on year to 54,198, and Hearst UK’s All About Soap, whose print sales dropped by 19.2% to 51,341.

TV Times, the fourth biggest title, boosted its print sales by 4.2% on the previous quarter but suffered a 6.6% year-on-year dip to 237,561. Total sales were 237,835.
