TV chef Tom Kerridge to sell posh fish and chips at Harrods for an eye-watering price

TV chef Tom Kerridge is set to dish out some of the poshest fish and chips to be found in London – and he’s preparing to set up shop in Harrods.

The 47-year-old food guru is set to welcome his first customers this Friday, but his famous fish and chips come at a price.

Tom will charge a whopping £35 for the gourmet chippie classic – which is the cheapest meal on the menu.

This is in stark comparison to the national average price for a cod and chips, which rounds off at £6.50.

Those willing to splash the cash on the British classic will be treated to the finest piece of market day fish, chunky chips, curry sauce, tartare sauce, and some pease pudding.

While some customers may feel compelled to hand over £35 for the amazing experience, it’s only the insanely dedicated foodies who will fork out eye-watering prices to sample Tom’s other famous seafood dishes including freshly caught turbot, lobster, rock oysters, Cornish squid, and Dublin Bay prawns.

The celebrity chef has also branched out with vegan options in a bid to cater to everyone’s taste.

To ensure that there is something for everyone, Tom has partnered with fellow Michelin-starred chef Sat Bains to include his renowned vegan samosa on the menu.

The extravagant menu also offers a selection of sensational sides, wine and cocktails, and daring desserts.

Opening up about his brand new venture, Tom said: “I am so proud to bring my take on the best seafood dishes to Harrods.

“I really believe that British talent and produce are at the forefront of great cuisine, and that is reflected in our team and the food we serve.”

The famed chef, who attended catering college in Cheltenham, has three eateries in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, including the double Michelin-starred Hand And Flowers, and another two in London and Manchester.
