Famous TV chef and cookbook author Jamie Oliver has announced that he will open a brand new restaurant in Dublin.

Chequer Lane will be located on Dublin's Exchequer Street and is set to open later this month.

With a capacity for 102 diners, the restaurant promises hungry Dubs a menu that will be excitingly delicious.

There will also be the option to book more intimate dining spaces for special occasions.

Jamie said of his new Dublin venture: "Chequer Lane is a place for all occasions! From long summer evenings to cosy winter nights, decadent lunches to celebrations - we want to make memories with us.

"The menu is packed to the brim with exciting satisfying dishes, I just know you are going to fall in love with."

Like the team at Jamie’s Italian Dundrum, Chequer Lane will work with independent local food suppliers to source the best and freshest ingredients form Ireland including free range meats, sustainable fish, local cheese and beverages.

The menu will celebrate Irish produce and serve dishes such as fresh rock oysters from Carlingford Bay, wild garlic chicken Kiev and monkfish scampi.

Along with the food, diners will be able to enjoy expertly-crafted cocktails, exclusive wines, locally brewed beers and ciders.

Weekend menus will also feature brunch options.

The restaurant's interior has been designed with comfort and style in mind and will feature original brickwork complemented by a mix of artwork by Dublin artists Sean Hillen.

Gerry Fitzpatrick said of Chequer Lane: "Diners can expect the very best of delicious and affordable Irish food and drink in a welcoming environment in the heart of Dublin City.

"We’re excited to be working with some of the finest local food producers and, as always, having a great team is at the heart of everything we do so we’re looking for bright, ambitious people to join us for this exciting new venture."
