TV channel and kick-off time as Premier League matches return with Aston Villa v Sheffield United

There's going to be a whole lot of football on TV in the coming weeks and months – starting with the return of the English Premier League on Wednesday.

With Scottish football still a wee while away we're going to have to settle for matches south of the border. And all 92 fixtures between now and the end of the 2019/20 season will be broadcast live.

Yes, some major European leagues are already underway, but the return of England's top flight feels like a big step, a lot closer to home.

So with 'Project Restart' set to reach its conclusion, fans are looking at what football they can get stuck into in the coming days and weeks.

It all starts with Aston Villa v Sheffield United on Wednesday. The match will kick-off at 6pm on 17 June, live on Sky Sports Main Event and Premier League. Ex Hibee John McGinn and Scotland internationals John Fleck and Oli McBurnie could be involved.

Later that evening Manchester City will face Arsenal at the Etihad, with kick-off at 8.15pm and all the action again on Sky Sports Main Event and Premier League.

Coverage begins at 4.30pm.
