TV bosses deny Davina McCall is in talks to bring back Celebrity Big Brother

It would be a move that would both shock and delight fans of the show, but bosses have denied that Davina McCall is in talks to bring back Celebrity Big Brother.

Big Brother is enjoying something of a renaissance at the minute thanks to E4 series Best Shows Ever, which has shown a host of classic episodes air again, including the one where Nasty Nick left the house after being confronted by Craig over trying to influence nominations and Jackie Stallone's famous stint in the show.

The programme is hosted by Davina and Rylan Clark-Neal and the rumour was that Davina is being lined up to return as host of the main show, a job more recently done on Channel 5 by Emma Willis.

The Daily Star reported that bosses want Celebrity Big Brother and Davina back.

"Davina has been approached about the potential of returning to present Celebrity Big Brother again," a source said.

"She is the undisputed queen of the show, so it would be a dream to have her back. They're prepared to work everything around her if it means getting her on board.

"And of course, there will be a healthy pay cheque on offer."

"Execs hope that means she'll jump at the chance to present a revival if it happens."

However, giving a statement to Mail Online, a spokesperson for Big Brother's production company, EndemolShine said: "I can confirm that there is no truth in this story.

"EndemolShine the production company has had no talks with Davina re reviving the Celebrity series and no future series has been commissioned."
