Several media outlets have agreed to apologise to a woman wrongly identified as a suspect in the alleged plot to blow up planes, a mistake first reported in this weekend's Observer. A statement issued this evening by the media lawyers, David Price Solicitors, said that ITV News, and the publishers of The Sun, the News of the World, Evening Standard, Daily Mail and the Daily Mirror have agreed to apologise to Koser Zaman. Her picture was used alongside stories that said she had been arrested. In fact, she was not detained and had nothing whatsoever to do with terrorist activities. She happens to live in Walthamstow and used to go to the school that was supposedly attended by a woman who was arrested. Ms Zaman will attend a press conference tomorrow at David Price's offices.
