Turnovers doom Titans in loss to Steelers: Everything we know

The Tennessee Titans simply couldn’t get out of their own way in Week 15 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, leading to a 19-13 loss at Heinz Field on Sunday afternoon.

Tennessee got off to a good start on both sides of the ball and staked itself to a 13-3 lead going into the second half but completely collapsed on offense in the final two quarters on the strength of three turnovers.

The Titans had four turnovers in total, all of which were followed by Steelers field goals on the ensuing drives.

Tennessee’s defense could not have played any better considering the circumstances. The unit held Pittsburgh’s offense, which needed help from turnovers and penalties to score, in check all game.

The Titans had a shot to win the game late in the fourth quarter but were unable to convert on a fourth down in the red zone, sealing the deal.

With the loss, the Titans squandered their chance to re-take the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Let’s take a deeper dive and see where Tennessee went wrong in Week 15.
