Turkish giants Galatasaray 'preparing bid' for Hibs defender Ryan Porteous

Hibs defender Ryan Porteous could be at the centre of a transfer tug-of-war this summer, with Turkish giants Galatasaray reportedly keen on the centre-back.

Porteous, 22, is fresh from playing a crucial role in helping Jack Ross's side seal a third-place finish in the Premiership last season, as well as an appearance in last month's Scottish Cup final, and it seems his uncompromising displays at the back have won him some pretty significant admirers.

According to the Scottish Sun, Istanbul behemoth Gala are preparing to launch their opening offer for Porteous in the next few days, with a figure of £1million seen as a respectable opening offer for the Scotland cap.

Ross and the Hibs hierarchy turned down a bid in the same region from Millwall last January, and it remains to be seen whether or not Galatasaray's admiration stretches beyond the £1million-mark.

Porteous is just one of a few Hibs players reportedly being tracked by some of European football's big names, with AC Milan and Arsenal both credited with an interest in teenage left-back Josh Doig.
