Trabzonspor are reportedly ready to table an offer for Nottingham Forest ace Joao Carvalho.
The Portuguese was linked with the Turkish club last week, and now Fotospor report they are preparing to make a move for him.
Carvalho has made 15 appearances and scored twice for the Reds so far this season, having missed the first few weeks due to an ankle injury.
He was an unused substitute in last Friday’s 2-2 draw at Millwall and was on the bench again for Tuesday night’s City Ground clash with Middlesbrough, coming on for the final 20 minutes as the hosts drew 2-2.
Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi, though, has stated how important Carvalho is to his plans.
“I have a squad and Joao is very important in the squad,” the Frenchman said, when asked about the 22-year-old’s place in his plans, amid the transfer rumours.
“I know about his quality, and I trust him to be ready when I call him.
“At the beginning for Joao, it was difficult with his ankle injury. Without the pre-season, it was difficult.
“We found a good line-up and it was difficult for him to find the rhythm - with a different manager, different philosophy and a different way to work.
“But I know about his quality.”
But Fotospor claim Trabzonspor plan to make an offer for the midfielder which would see him join on loan, with a purchase option.
The report states: “For now, it is not known how much the compulsive purchase option Nottingham Forest will say for Joao Carvalho, who cost 15m euros. However, this fee is not expected to be below 10m euros.”
