Turkish CCTV shows people looting a Kurdish bookstore during violent protests

CCTV footage has emerged of the moment a Kurdish-owned bookstore in Turkey was set fire to and then looted.

The attack occurred in the central Turkish province of Kireshir on September 8th.

The video first shows rocks being thrown at the windows of the store, before protesters enter. They then attempt to trash displays and knock everything in sight to the floor.

Turkey recently summoned both the ambassadors of the US and Russia to discuss thier support of Syrian Kurds in the fight against Isis.

The conflict between Turkey and the Kurds has intensified since the pro-Kurdish People's Democratic Party (HDP) won 13 per cent of the vote in Turkeys general election back in June.

As a result, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Justice and Development party (AK) were denied a majority for the first time since 2002.
