Turkish Airlines flight to New York diverts to Dublin Airport due to 'medical emergency'

A Turkish Airline flight heading to New York headed towards Dublin Airport after turning around over the Atantic.

Flight TK11 from Istanbul to New York flew towards Dublin after a reported medical emergency.

The Airbus A330-303 left Istanbul at 6.55pm and was estimated to arrive in JFK at around 9.49pm local time, Dublin Live reports.

It is not yet confirmed why the flight turned around. The plane landed shortly before 10.50pm on Sunday.
