Turkey on Friday said it rejected the decisions adopted in Wednesday's Arab League foreign ministers meeting.
In a statement on Friday, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said it completely rejects what it described as "baseless accusations" against it.
The Ministry's statement also claimed that Turkey is one of the countries that devotes effort to ensure "regional and global peace and stability of security."
It further addressed the Arab League, asking it to work on achieving peace, prosperity and well-being of the Arab people and to constructively contribute to the establishment of security and stability in the region, "instead of targeting our country with baseless allegations."
An Arab League statement called on Ankara to withdraw its troops from Syria, Libya and Iraq, and to "desist from provocative actions that undermine confidence-building and threaten the security and stability of the region."
In this context, Cyprus President, Nicos Anastasiades, has also asked German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, to convey to Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the message the Turkey must stay away from any provocations and avoid any activities that could influence the status quo of Famagusta.
This came during a teleconference he had on Thursday evening with Merkel.
