Since 2002, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s AKP party had always won a majority in every election: national, local, and presidential. This year, for the first time, the party lost its majority and saw its share of the vote fall, although it remains the country’s most popular party. In August, Erdoğan, called snap elections which will take place this Sunday.

Some experts say a coalition government after Sunday’s elections could help reduce tensions and polarization in the country. But some worry the AKP may seek another election if a single-party government looks within reach.

We want to know if you’re voting, and what hopes you have for your country. Fill out the form below – you do not have to answer every question – and we’ll use a selection of responses in our reporting of the election.
