Canberra really is lucky to have so many selfless volunteers.
Turbans 4 Australia, which is manned entirely by volunteers, has relaunched its efforts in the Canberra and Queanbeyan region to help the vulnerable and those in need during COVID lockdown.
They did the same during last year's lockdown, providing nearly 10,000 free hot meals and 400 free food hampers. The Sikh charity organisation helps anyone in need, regardless of their race, religion or ethnicity.
Turbans 4 Australia president Amar Singh said the volunteers were back, delivering hampers directly to anyone in need.
"So far our team has delivered close to 70 hampers in the last three weeks," he said.
"These hampers include essential food items such as tea, cereals, jam, rice, noodles, biscuits, chips, masks, sanitiser, baked beans, pasta sauce, and long life milk.
"Our two vans delivered much-needed supplies in bulk and now the local team is serving the community."
Turbans 4 Australian wants the Canberra and Queanbeyan communities to know it is back working in the area and wants anyone in need to get in contact.

And Canberra charity HelpingACT is continuing to quietly do good work right throughout the lockdown.
This week, it gifted more than 50 emergency food gift packs to Civic's Early Morning Centre for the homeless, run by UnitingCare Canberra City.
Other organisations are also funnelling support to HelpingACT as it makes direct food donations to Canberrans in need.
The Kippax Uniting Church this week donated baby formula, blankets and IKEA vouchers. The Rotary Club of Hall Village also donated $2500.
