Tuppence Middleton is pregnant as she debuts baby bump at Downton Abbey premiere

Downton Abbey star Tuppence Middleton is pregnant with her first child and debuted her bump at the movie's premiere.

The actress, 35, looked glamorous as she attended the Downton Abbey: A New Era premiere at Leicester Square's Cineworld on Monday night.

Tuppence, who plays Lucy Branson in the franchise, smiled for the camera as she placed a hand over her blossoming baby bump.

The screen star wore a floor-length off the shoulder black gown with a thigh-high slit on her left leg.

Her sleeves were bedazzled with sequins. She also had her brown hair in loose waves.

The actress keeps her personal life out of the spotlight and it is not known who the father is.

She was previously dating Robert Fry, who is a famous abstract artist.

They reportedly dated for over three years.

After the two broke up in 2019, a friend claimed that the couple's careers played a huge factor in the split.

"It's very sad, but their careers pulled them in opposite directions," a friend said at the time.

"They tried to make it work, but in the end they decided to split. It was very amicable."

Tuppence plays Lucy Branson in the 2022 film, which is the sequel to the 2019 movie.

She is also known for her roles in The Imitation Game, The Love Punch, A Long Way Down, The Defeated and Sense8.

The movie is set to be released on April 29.

In the new Downton movie, widower Tom Branson finds new love after the death of his wife Sybil years before.

He ties the knot with Tuppence's character, maid Lucy Smith, who he met in the 2019 movie.

The phenomenally successful period drama which was born as a ITV drama, is taking to the big screen for a second time, with show favourites including Lady Mary Crawley (Michelle Dockery) and Tom Branson (Allan Leech) making an appearance.

After a failed romance with teacher Sarah Bunting, the Irishman, Tom, fell for Miss Smith, but faced resistance from the Crawley family before finally getting married.

A teaser for the movie was shared in November last year.
