New Tupac conspiracy theory claims grainy footage shows murdered rapper alive

The latest Tupac Shakur "alive" conspiracy theory claims footage from 2019 shows the rapper talking on his phone while he sips from a can and smokes.

Tupac's been surrounded by theories ever since his murder in Las Vegas, Nevada, in September 1996.

Many of the theories claim Tupac actually survived the shooting, and went into hiding as part of an elaborate cover-up.

In a clip making the rounds online, a man who looks strikingly similar to the Dear Mama rapper can be seen chatting on the phone.

The cameraman keeps his distance and hides behind the bushes, making the man difficult to properly make out.

It's far from the first time he's been "sighted."

Back in 2011, some fans reckon they saw him at an Occupy Wall Street demonstration, and were strengthened in their conviction it was him after Tupac's mum praised the protesters.

In Boston in 2014, another lookalike turned up to a basketball game rocking Tupac's iconic bandana.

When he showed up on camera, fans began rapping - but the mystery man was said to have "none of Shakur's style."

One of the more bizarre theories insists that former leader of Cuba Fidel Castro - who died in 2016 - was part of a cover-up that included welcoming Tupac into his country.

"I have audio and video evidence of Fidel Castro confirming he sanctioned Tupac to live in Cuba," Michael Nice, a theorist, claimed.

Another, Sue Knight, asked: "Why do you think nobody has been arrested?

"If he was dead, they'd be arresting those dudes for murder. You know he's somewhere smoking a cigar on an island."
