Tunisia prepares for state funeral of President Beji Caid Essebsi

In this edition: Tunisia prepares to bid a final farewell to President Beji Caid Essebsi, and dozens of bodies have been recovered after Thursday’s migrant shipwreck off Libya. And Mozambique faces severe food shortage.

Thousands of Tunisians are expected to attend Saturday’s state funeral for late president Essebsi, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 92.

And dozens of bodies have been recovered after boats carrying hundreds of migrants sank off the coast of Libya on Thursday. UN officials have called it the worst Mediterranean tragedy so far this year.

Finally, we take a look at the situation in Mozambique, where 1.6 million people are at risk of severe food shortages after a pair of powerful cyclones killed hundreds of people and wrought widespread destruction earlier this year.
