Brits are flocking back to Tunisia for their summer holidays, a new study by Thomas Cook has found.
The travel giant released its annual Holiday Report this week, which revealed that its package bookings to Tunisia have doubled compared to 2018, while flight-only bookings are up four-fold.
The boost comes following the FCO changing its travel advice to Tunisia, re-opening parts of the country to Brits who wish to visit.
The formerly popular destination saw its tourism numbers plunge following the Tunisia hotel attack in Sousse in June 2015 which left 38 holidaymakers dead – 30 of whom were British.
The FCO warned Brits against travelling to the North African country at the time.
However, in February 2018 the FCO travel advice on Tunisia changed with most of the country being re-opened to Brits wanting to travel.

It's worth noting that there are still regions where the Foreign Office advises against all travel, and it does warn that "terrorists are still very likely to try to carry out attacks in Tunisia".
Still, Brits are continuing to return to the sunny holiday hotspot.
In fact, it's proving to be the seventh most popular summer destination for Brits in 2019 out of the destinations offered by the holiday provider, a move up from its position in 10th place in last year's rankings.
Thomas Cook credits the "many refurbished hotels, a number of initiatives to boost tourism standards and a range of family-friendly expeditions on its doorstep" as key factors in the rise of Brits returning to the destination.

Tunisia isn't the holiday spot to be making a comeback.
Turkey has also been proving to steadily rise back up the ranks. In fact, the firm has noted a 27 per cent uplift in flight-only bookings compared to last summer.
In fact, it's now Thomas Cook's second most popular summer destination for 2019, which the firm credits to the destination's value for money, as well as the fact that it's outside of the EU amidst the Brexit uncertainty.
