Tulse Hill: Man found dead from severe head injuries in south London street

A man has died after being found with severe head injuries in south London.

The victim, aged in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene in Tulse Hill on Friday afternoon.

Police and paramedics were called to Norwood Road just before 1pm but the man could not be saved.

A cordon has been erected outside the Tulse Hill Hotel, at the junction with the South Circular Road, while officers scour the scene.

The incident is not believed to have been a stabbing. There have not been any arrests made, Scotland Yard said.

It comes amid a spate of violent crime in the capital after five men and boys lost their lives, including a 16-year-old schoolboy also in Tulse Hill.
